Howdyy, today I thought I'd treat you to a little notd, is that what they're called? I really should have done some research on these types of posts...
I'm one of those people who like nail polish but am too impatient to sit and wait for them to dry, then I chip them within an hour. Therefore I rarely paint my nails. But with seeing so many pictures over twitter of festive nails and nail art I thought I'd give it a whirl. This was the outcome, they're not award-winning but who doesn't love a bit of glitter? At first I thought about doing some jazzy nail art and do a rudolph onto
each nail, but then I restrained myself due to the fact it would look like a three year old could of done it better with a blindfold on. So I stuck with the classic block colour then a bit of glitter! I used 2 nail polishes from Topshop which I don't know the name of as they came in a set, but they're gorgeous!

I'm in a bit of a rambly mood, I haven't blogged for what seems like ages. I've been away (therefore had the gorgeous Celine guest post for me, which was fabulous) with my family, and just been spending a lot of time with my family and friends which is what Christmas is all about! I have some very exciting news also, I will be redecorating my room (finally) in the next few weeks. Painting, new sheets/curtains/pillows, ornaments, the whole works. So expect some decor posts and inspiration posts, maybe even a room tour... I'm ridiculously excited to have a bedroom that won't have half the paint peeling off (I made a stupid mistake of covering all my walls in magazines, then taking them all down which ripped most of the paint off!). I cannot wait. I'm currently spending my life on Pinterest looking for ideas! In other news I will have my 'what I got for Christmas' post going up some time this week, I'm sorry it'll be a bit late but hayho better late than never!

I apologise for rambling on, I have a tendency to do that quite a bit.

Are you any good at nail art? painting nails? or are you just impatient and lazy like me?

Guest Post: The Top 5 Of 2013

Hello to all of the lovely Ellie's beautiful followers. I am Celine from Vintage Teapot and when Ellie asked me if i would like to guest post for her while she was in France, i was more than happy to do so. Today I am going to share my top 5 beauty products of 2013. 2013 has saw the release of many different hyped products in the beauty world, and many products which i absolutely adore.
First up is the Natural Collection Duo Eyeshadow in Mocha Latte. The brown shade is what i use to fill in my eyebrows on a daily basis. As i have very dark hair, this shade is perfect. It gives my eyebrows so much more definition, and lasts all day long. Its also super compact especially for travelling, with the perfect two shades for an everyday eye. Its definitely one for your makeup bag!
The Rimmel Apocalips took the blogging world by storm this year, and since jumping on the bandwagon Celestial has been my most reached for lip colour. A gorgeous neutral, your lips but better pink shade it is perfect for everyday use for a natural look. The long lasting formula also is a bonus factor.
2013 was the year i delved into the Crown Brush hype and also the contouring world. Even though this brush looks quite big for contouring, the pointed dome means it fits perfectly into the cheek bone area, and helps to give even my- bone structure lacking -face that bit more shape.
There are no words to describe my all time favourite holy grail mascara - Loreal Volume Million Lashes. The wand, the formula, and the curl they give to my lashes is just indescribable. I love this mascara a ridiculous amounts, so much that if i could marry a mascara this would be the one. Bit too extreme? Nope don't think so!
Finally, this lazy girl skincare savior was to be without a doubt included in my top 5 of 2013. The L'Oreal Micellar Solution is definitely one of the best makeup removers i have ever tried. A liittle of this on a cotton pad is the perfect way to remove your makeup when you are too tired after a night out to carry out your fuull skin care routine, or you can use to double cleanse your face.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and i hope Ellie is having a fab time and I am sure she will be back with more amazing posts ASAP!

Holy grail products for 2013!

It feels like forever since I've wrote a beauty post, well it has been a while... so we shall see how good my adjectives are when describing products. Brace yourself.
I didn't know whether it was a little bit too early to post this (as it's not quite the end of the year) but oh well! Instead of doing a December favourites I just thought I will pick 5 of my holy grail products for this year.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
This palette though. It's perfect. You have probably heard every single beauty blogger rave about the Naked Palettes, sorry. But... everything is marvellous about them. The pigmentation is ridiculous, they last all day (literally), they have a huge range of neutral shades. Some palettes have the same matte browny shades, but not this palette. It has 3 mattes (I do wish there were more matte shades...), the rest of the shades have shimmer in. I could sit here and write 1000 word essay on why you should buy this but I won't bore you.

Collection Sheer Loose Powder
You never really here Collection get much attention apart from the famous 'lasting perfection concealer'. But when looking for a new loose powder a few months ago I picked this up in a rush and have loved it ever since. I didn't think I was going to love it that much, but oh boy this is good stuff. If you have really oily skin, I suggest you run to boots jump in your car and go to Boots and buy this. I have never used a powder which keeps my skin so matte. This powder beats my Mac Blot Power, and that's something.

Maybelline The Falsies
I must have repurchased this 5 times, at least. This is my all-time favourite mascara. It adds incredible amounts of length and volume, and makes your eyes pop. If you haven't tried this mascara, you need to. Otherwise your eyelashes may cry you're missing out!

Maybelline BB Cream (for oily skin)
I have gone through so many tubes of the  Maybelline BB creame for normal skin, so when they came out with the one for oily skin, I was ridiculously happy. Having oily skin is the most annoying thing in the world, and this BB cream helps keep my face matte for a great amount of time. I will never find a foundation/BB cream that keeps my face matte ALL day, but this one comes pretty close! It gives a smooth, gorgeous finish and evens out all my stupid redness. Defiantly give this a try, if you're looking for a new BB cream/light foundation!

Real Technique Expert Face Brush
This brush is the just the perfect face brush. It blends in your foundation so easily and smoothly. It's the perfect density and well every blogger and their mum has this brush. Therefore I'm sure you've heard someone rave about this brush before.

Woah, that was a long post. Well feels like it to me because I've been dipping between writing this, twitter and vlogmas. Vlogmas is the reason my grades go down in the Christmas 'period', well that's what I'll blame it on anyway...
This weekend I have been spending a lot of time with the famala and being all festive. I also have a few packages arriving soon, so expect a haul at some point. Oh, and just in case you think I've been abducted by aliens in 2 weeks I will be going on vacation (only for a week)! Therefore I will not be appearing on your twitter feed or dashboard as much as I would like! But I'm planning on still posting one post throughout that week! Don't panic!
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend, and if you're still at school (like me) enjoy your last week!

Pinafore - Ebay
Shirt/top - Primark mens
Knee high socks - River Island
Boots - Ebay
Bag - Primark

I know I've shown the knee high sock and coltrane combo before, please don't shoot me! But I wanted to share this outfit with you! Sorry for the quality/lighting in the pictures, that's what you get when you leave it till the suns setting to take blog pictures. Stupid Ellie!
This outfit is so comfortable, yet still looks like you've made an effort! I chucked on this pinafore which I found lurking at the bottom of my wardrobe from summer, and added this shirt to make it a little less girly. Don't get me wrong I love being girly, I have just been loving being a bit edgy and stepping out of my comfort zone recently! I then added my favourite knee high socks and my gorgeous boots! Voila, a decent outfit.

Today I have just been doing some errands and chilling, I also decorated the house for Christmas. Which if you follow me on twitter (which you defiantly should @thebeautycave99), you will know that decorating the house/tree is my favourite part of Christmas.
After today I was/am feeling rather festive, so when my friend Celine offered to help me out snow falling onto my blog I jumped at the chance. I think it looks incredibly festive, and I hope you guys like it!

Thursday, 5 December 2013

It feels like forever since I've sat down and just had a little ramble and chat to all of you lovely people. Today's post is going to be a little bit more 'rambly' than usual (if that's possible). It's going to be about all the things I want to achieve/do in winter!

1 - Go for a cold walk/run on the beach
No matter what time of the year it is, I find the beach magical. I find the beach a very inspiration place, it gives me loads of inspiration and I can just sit there and people watch FOREVER. I am incredibly nosey btw. Plus it brings back loads of memories and special moments. Who doesn't like a long walk along the beach or even a run?

2 - Sit and have a full on day of the Kardashians/trashy tv/movie marathon
I have just brought the most gorgeous pair of tartan pj bottoms (which I'm tempted to do a whole blog post on, but I think that could be too far...), from Peacocks and I wear them all the time. Therefore I've been lusting after that stereotypical movie/tv/pajama blogging day which I have rarely, due to that thing called homework. Of course lots of unhealthy food is required.

3 - A long winter walk
Wow, another walk Ellie?! I can assure you, I'm not that fit. I just love the whole thing of wrapping up in a million layers, putting on my DM's, getting my camera and just walking. I find walking quite therapeutic, especially with so much homework and schools a bit crazy, I find it clears my head.

4 - Visit London
I go to often probably about 3/4 times a year. Although it's not that far away from where I live, we just don't seem to go that often. I would love to go at this time of the year, mainly because of all the pretty lights and decorations. Of course the shopping and little quirky backstreets full of vintage stalls/shops are all fab as well.

5 - Decorate my bedroom
I love to change the layout of my bedroom all the time and adding little decorations/cushions etc. Yet I haven't painted it in a while or 'decluttered' it in a year or so (uhoh, that's pretty bad). I am thinking about painting it and getting some new duvet covers, pillows etc. So I hope to do that pretty soon! Expect a post on room decor soon I guess!

Well I hope you haven't been blown away today by the crazy winds. There was no point me even making an effort with my hair today, it was all a matted mess when I got home. Hope you've had a good day, and aren't overloaded with homework/work. Speak soon!

Docs & Socks

Where the socks are from (R-L):
Elle Macpherson 'gift set'
All the rest topshop.
Recently I have been neglecting my Doc Martens a little bit due to the 'not so new' addition of my Coltrane dupes, but I still have been wearing them a lot! As I do have an overflowing sock draw, I love love love looove to pair my Docs with different socks and make them look a bit different, therefore that's what I've been doing recently!

Favourite online shop: The City Rack

All clothes from
If you've been reading my blog for a reasonable amount of time, you will know that I have an addiction to online shopping. Yes, I did just admit that on the Internet. I'm not ashamed, there are worse things to be addicted to...
So as I love online shopping, I am constantly looking for new places to shop, so when I stumbled upon 'The City Rack' it was love and first sight!
The City Rack is a online shop with the most gorgeous clothes. If you like to dress simple, but with a bit of a twist, you will loooove The City Rack. The site is incredibly easy to use, it's got different sections for different types of clothing/shoes/accessories and I personally think the layout is gorgeous. Plus the customer service is great, they're super lovely and helpful! Also the prices are FAB-U-LOUS (anyone else got a particular voice come to there head when reading that?! No, just me...), super affordable and reasonable delivery charges! Of course the clothes are gorgeous too, and bang on trend.
The items in the collage are some of my personal favourite items, though I do love virtually there whole shop... The jumpers and tops look so comfy and you could easily dress them up or down! The festive jumper is just, wow. Who doesn't love a festive jumper? aaa, Disco pants. I have been lusting for a pair now for well over a year. They will never go out of style and the more and more I see Zoe from 'Zoella' wear them, I get more and more jealous! Snoods are a must  for winter, noone likes a cold neck after all. This blazer is my favourite on this 'collage', it just looks so classy yet you could easily dress it up or down. Oooohh imagine the blazer with my Coltrane dupes...ohh wow. The disco pants, the mesh jumper, snood and blazer would go perfectly together. This burgundy dress would be perfect for new years eve, or any special occasion really. Just look at the detailing...phwoar. Fringe bags are beautiful. That's all I have too say. I love the big tote bags, especially with fringing. I could not resist this beauty at all, look at it...

Anywaaay, getting onto the point. The City Rack is a gorgeous shop which I think competes with many bigger online shops, and is my personal favourite at the moment! So I may not shut up about it for a long time ahah! Their link is, go check them out!

Currently, I'm listening to Gwen Stefani - Hollaback Girl, don't even ask me how I came to end up listening to it! But it's kind of a good song...also Tom Odell and Gabrielle Aplin have been on repeat, full volume of course. Yes, that's my Sunday for you. Music and failing at homework. Enjoy your Sunday!

Tips on being an organised blogger!

We've all had those moments of 'aaa I should have a post going up today, but it's too late/dark to take pictures' or 'I have no clue what to post' so hopefully these tips will help you!

Oversized cream jumper - H&M
Festive leggings - New Look
Frilly socks - Primark
Boots - Doc Martens
Do I need to say anything else? The 'title' of this post kind of sums it up. This isn't your typical 'fashion blogger ootd' which includes some sort of 'on trend' clothing item, or an incredible jumper which everyone wants. It's just one of those outfits which everyone has worn at some point when being lazy around the house, and I thought why don't I just show you guys. A fair few fashion bloggers post ootd's of their favourite outfits, whereas I kind of post mine when I have time to photograph them *bad blogger*. But if everyone wheres these sort of outfits when they're feeling lazy, I thought I'd just share you with mine (plus these leggings just scream Christmas!). Theres nothing fashionable or incredible about this look! But don't panic I will be back with outfits where I've made a bit more of an effort!
^wow, I really don't know what I just rambled on about...Anyway, I'm sure if you've been reading a lot of blogs at the moment you must be sick to death of reading all about how autumn/winter is here (like you didn't know!), and how the crunching leaves and pumpkin spiced lattes are there favourite 'things' right now. So I won't ramble on about that, even though I could write a book on how much I love A/W.
I've now been sat here for 10 minutes trying to figure out what to say. But instead of boring you with 500 words about my non existant  social life and school work, I think I'll go! Speak soon!

Playsuit - Primark
Skirt - Topshop
Knee high socks - River Island
Coltrane dupes - New look
It has been getting rather chilly recently which is fab as I'm a sucker for layering and warm cosy clothes, so this weather is perfect. Although I guarentee in about a months time i'll be counting down the day's till summer.

What I've been loving this week...#1

Christmas is just over a month away, how crazy is that?! Everyday its getting closer to that point where its acceptable to listen to Christmas songs in public and start decorating the house and wearing those ridiculously festive jumpers. I can't wait. Believe me, you will not stop hearing me talk about Christmas, sorry not sorry.
Anyway, lets get on with what I've been loving this week...
Vaseline - As you all will know unless you've been under a rock this week, it's getting pretty chilly outside. The layering of shirts and jumpers and coats has finally begun! Therefore with it being colder my lips can get chapped pretty easily, but recently when I wake up and before I got to bed I apply Vaseline and I haven't got chapped lips yet. Woo, this time last year my lips would've been all yucky and cracked. I now swear by it!

Sweet popcorn - I have a very bad addiction to popcorn... I even have my own popcorn maker, impressive I know! I could eat 3 large bags in a row. In fact within 3 nights I'd eaten a large bag of toffee popcorn all by myself, and I have no regrets because it tasted like heaven.

Urban decay Naked Palette - I got this for my birthday last summer and have used it every time I wear makeup. All the shades are so wearable and the amount of different looks you can get from it is ridiculous! Although it is £36 it's worth every penny, it doesn't crease and the pigmentation is just incredible.

Gabrielle Aplin 'English rain' Album - If you like Gabrielle Aplin we can immediately be best friends. She is perfect, this album is constantly on repeat in my bedroom. It's so soothing yet not depressing. My favourite song is 'Home' but I love all of them. She's also gorgeous and her style is flawless. Someone let me be her!? Even just for a day...

Toni & Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray - I brought this ages ago in Boot's and forgot about it, I recently discovered it and its amazing. I have naturally dead straight hair and it's boring. Therefore if I spray some of this beauty in my hair then scrunch it, it creates beautiful soft waves. Plus if I've made the effort to curl my hair then if I apply this and then scrunch it makes the curls look so natural and pretty. It's great for adding texture and it also smells lovely.

I hope you've all had  a lovely weekend! Yesterday I went to see some fireworks and did the whole sparklers and bonfire evening with some family friends which was lovely, and now I'm just catching up with homework and already panicking about what to wear next Friday for non-uniform day...oh the stress...

(bottom left picture was taken in normal light, others with flash in case you were wondering why it's darker!)
Today's been one of those days were the time isn't my friend. I seem to have been late to everything possible today, so on the bus back from school I just thought my evenings going to be organised and productive. So in the space of an hour I've taken blog pictures, worked out, eaten a yogurt (you can never beat a munch bunch strawberry yogurt, yummm!) and am now writing this. That's pretty productive in my life!
Much like the time, the weather didn't help that much with taking these pictures. If you're a fellow fashion blogger you will know that when wearing loose clothing when the wind blows you'll look 10 times bigger than you are and that the clothing just expands a looooot. But we can deal with that...

My oversized jumper is from H&M and is sooo comfy and just one of those jumpers that you can snuggle up in and feel all relaxed and chilled. My loose (kind of) tailored trousers are from New Look and the floral print is just perfect for all year as florals are just a classic print. Especially when they're 'dark' floral, if that makes any sense?

Of course my outfit wouldn't be complete without some sort of 'edgy ish' shoe. My coltrane dupes are just perfect.

Off to hopefully be more productive with homework, but I severely doubt that. Oh, also I have started being a lot more organised with my blog and have actually made a schedule, so there will be a post on that soon (if I scheduled it that is...)!

My Beautiful Coltrane Dupes

Coltrane Dupes (New Look) - £29.99
These are just perfect. That's all I have to say. I have been lusting after some Coltrane dupes for the longest time it seems,  because somehow I wasn't going to spend £114 on a pair of shoes. Then I found these on Lucy's blog and my heart stopped momentarily...

Saturday, 19 October 2013

Blue Tartan Shirt - Peacocks
Jeans - Topshop (Joni)
Shoes - Doc Martens
Bag - New look
Today I ventured out of my cave (aka my bedroom), and me and mum decided to go for a leisurely walk. The weather could have been nicer, but we braved it and  thought why not take some snazzy pictures of what I was that's what we did!

My autumn fashion accessories!

I love autumn fashion, who doesn't? The boots, snugly coats, jumpers. aaaa, just the thought of it makes me all happy. I also love the fashion 'accessories' you get in autumn. So i thought I'd share with you my favourites!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Creme - Black cherry 477
Autumn is here, yesterday the cold wind and rain begun and hasn't stopped since. For me autumn is all about the dark lip colours, snugly jumpers, hot drinks, movie days, and buying lots of winter boots. This post is going to be all about my new favourite lipstick, which may just be the most gorgeous lip colour I've ever seen.

Autumn/winter wishlist!

Tartan Skirt//Leather Jacket//Burgundy jumper//Khaki jeggings//Homies beanie//Burgundy/Brown cut out boots//

Autumn is officially here, and its fair to say I'm loving it. At the moment its that perfect in between seasons weather where you can wrap up cosy without feeling like you might overheat. Perfect. I've been saying bye bye to the shorts and crop tops and hello to the jumpers and boots. Of course when a new season comes, that means 2 things, new trends and new clothes. What a great excuse for a wish list, and a shopping spree to follow!

Tartan Midi Skirt

This is £8, yes you did not misread that. Eight pounds. £8.00. Tartan is a must-have this season and with this midi skirt you can dress it up or down. I would wear this with some ankle boots, or Doc Martens and a white tee or something along those lines. This would be perfect for autumn winter, I just need it in my wardrobe.

Leather Jacket

It seems like everyone has got one apart from me. I can sense the the moment when I get one, every other jacket/parka/hoodie I own would be severely neglected. I have been eyeing up quite a few for a while but with them always being £25+ they're a bit of an investment. But I think I will cave in the next week or so. I love love love the ones from Topshop, but I may try and find one cheaper. Any recommendations?

Burgundy Jumper

On a cold autumn day to snuggle up in this would be lovely. I love the colours, like everything on this wish list they're very autumnal colours. This beautiful jumper belongs in my wardrobe.

Khaki jeggings

If you've read my blog for a long time now you'll know that I'm not a big fan of jeans, I have one pair from Topshop (joni jeans) but they're the only ones I will wear. Other jeans just irritate my skin. So jeggings are perfect for me, and once again a very autumnal colour. These were £10, yes just £10. I will be searching high and low for these in my local river island!

Homies Beanie

Aaaa, I always wanted one of those tops with 'homies' on the front, but I've fallen in love with the beanie version. I am a lover of beanies, I love the style, the way the look on and how they can cover up any bad hair day.  What's not to love about this one? I need this on my head asap.

Burgundy/brown cut out boots.

Wow. These are I think either £35 or £45 either way a bargain (from Ark). The colour is incredible, as its not your typical brown or black, I'm in love. The height of the heel isn't too big, the cut outs aren't too small or over-sized, I'm in love. Maybe these will sneak into my shoe cupboard...

If you can't tell already I'm a sucker for autumn/winter colours so anything that colour I immediately love. I also love the fashion trends this year, so my bank account hates me at the moment. I currently have the tartan midi skirts in my 'basket', should I get it?  Tell me what you think!? Hope you've enjoyed this wish list, I am off to do numerous pieces of homework, wish me luck aha!

Top - Etsy shop
Trousers/thick leggings - Topshop
Frilly socks - Primark
Shoes - My gorgeous Doc Martens

After months of searching high and low for this top, I found it. Ever since I saw a almost identical crop top on a YouTube haul  I have wanted it forever. The original one came from Brandy Melvile so I couldn't get it without going to London or spending £100+ on there website (easy enough, but I'm not that rich!). So when I came across this on etsy it had to be mine, it was around £7.99 and the delivery was about £2. So around £10, BARGAIN.

Of course my much loved topshop legging/trousers were a must and my Doc Martens! But anyway today I have spent just being lazy and doing so much homework. Art coursework has offically taken over my life, goodbye my non-existant social life! Hello art brushes and sketch books. The only thing that has kept me going is endless music, full volume of course!

Shirt - River Island
Thick Leggings - Sainsburys (I think!)
Shoes - Primark
Bow - Prarie Charms

I thought today I'd do a little autumn/winter ootd, apart from I didn't actually wear this today as I have school. But I will be on weekends etc, and I think its perfect for autumn/winter. Obviously when it gets really cold, add a big cardigan or loose jumper (still showing the collar and bow though!) and you'll be good to go!
I chose to wear this shirt which kind of looks like denim, but its not! I just tied it into a knot at the front instead of buttoning it all the way down! I then added this gorgeous bow from Prarie Charms, which is actually a hair bow! I attached it t the top of the shirt for a 'girly bow tie'! I thought it look super cute and it reminded me of those stereotypical 'geeky' outfits you see in cartoons! That made no sense...

How to wear a bow!

Rachael Hair Bow - Approximatley £6.50/$10
So I was recently contacted by Prairie Charms who were wondering whether I'd be interested in joining there 'Project Blogger'. I instantly said yes because I was already a huge fan of there brand. They offered me a 50% discount, and I was completly overwhelmed with the choices. In the end I chose this gorgeous 'dolly' pink bow with white polka dots. I think its pefect!

Dream fresh BB - normal vs oily

It seems like forever since I've wrote a beauty post, because lately I've been writing a lot more fashion posts! But fear not beauty lovers, I have a review for you today!
It's going to be about the much loved Maybelline Dream Fresh BB and I'm going to compare the normal and the oily one.
Starting off with the packaging...It's very sleek, its a nice size (not too big, not too small!). The only  differences between the two are one is matte and one has a glossy finish, and one is blue and the other one pink. The blue tube which is matte is the BB cream for oily skin, and the glossy pink tube is for normal skin.

Now lets move onto the actual product, which is what most of you want to know. I have had the normal BB cream for a long time now, and the consistency of it is quite runny. But when comparing it to other peoples, or seeing the in YouTube videos theres is always a thicker consistency. So I may have just picked up a dodgy one. But the actual product is really good. I had a love/hate relationship with this for months, but I've come to the conclusion that I love it. It covers everything you want it to, yet lets your skin breathes and defiantly doesn't look like you've put orange thick paint all over your face...score aha! It didn't keep my skin matte all day, and I would HAVE to apply powder. But due to the fact that I do have oily skin that was no surprise. But the overall finish was nice, and defiantly a product worth having.

The BB cream for oily skin didn't disappoint either. Just like the normal BB cream, it had good coverage, let your skin breathe etc. It also didn't disappear during the day and rub off. Sometimes I find foundations/BB creams can slide around on your face or fade and loose there coverage but not this one. It stayed all day, and kept my face more matte then the normal one (hence why it's for oily skin!!). Once again I did apply powder, and my face did get a little bit shiny but I wasn't looking like a disco ball, which is always a bonus.

To sum it all up, they're both great BB creams. I would defiantly recommend them and they're only around  £7.99, so they're defiantly worth it. Just pick the one that suits your skin more, don't think 'oo I sometimes have oily skin, but usually normal' if you're like that pick the oily skin one. It's not going to damage your skin if you pick up the wrong one, but it would be more beneficial to pick up the right one.

If I had to pick one, for myself it would be the oily skin version of the BB cream. I find it works a lot better on my skin, but both are great!

My Holiday: French markets and shopping

This summer I headed to France for a two week holiday with just my family. We spent it lounging around the pool, visiting a few museums and obviously I persuaded my family to a bit of shopping!

Everything Primark!!
Another OOTD, I'm getting into the swing of these. Everything I'm wearing is from Primark, surprise suprise! I had had had to include these shoes in a OOTD. They're perfect. I paired them with this playsuit, and I think it looks pretty cute in my opinion.

I finally went to Primark. I hadn't been in sooo long as I don't really have a local one, and I was so excited to go. I had to be quite restricted, because I could have easily spent £100+. But to be fair I didn't buy much at all.

Looking at these pictures I get a very 'cowgirl' vibe going on with the whole tassel bag and 'poncho oversized' top. But we'll go for that vibe...

Tartan was something that when I was younger and  whenever someone mentioned my mind instantly thought of kilts, and just traditional dress. I never thought that one day I would be in love with wearing tartan as a fashion statement.

Current Obsessions

Recently I have been obsessing over quite a few things. So therefore I thought I'd blog about them! Where to start...ummm...

Topshop Satchel

I received this beauty for my birthday and it hasn't been off my shoulder since. It's a crisp white and fits my junk in it perfectly. It makes an outfit look super cute and well put together. It goes with everything in my wardrobe and I have officially fallen in love with a satchel!

Benefit 'How to look your best at everything!' kit

I also received this for my birthday from some lovely family friends, they had seen me eyeing it up at the benefit counter so they kindly brought it for me. In the set it has the Porefessional, 2 boi-ing concealers (new favourite!), Hello flawless oxygen wow foundation and finally the Hello Flawless powder. All of these products work incredibly well, and they all go together so nicely. They all match my skin tone perfectly, and I never want to run out of it. I would defiantly recommend this if you want to try these products before buying the full sized version!

Company magazine

I have read company magazine for well over a year now, and each month it never disappoints. I love how they always include bloggers, and how each issue has a theme. It's easy to read and I love the layout in general. The way they incorporate different topics without it turning into a boring review magazine will never fail to amaze me. Overall I am a huge fan of Company, and I was lucky enough to receive a subscription for my birthday so I cannot wait for that to start!

Topshop Joni Jeans

I don't know whether these count as I brought them fairly recently but I am in love. I have never owned a pair of jeans before this week *gasp*, I made the plunge and brought the Joni jeans. I have always thought how nice they looked, but always refused to buy them because of the price (£36). When I tried them on I instantly knew they needed to join my wardrobe. They are soo comfy, its just like wearing leggings, they fit like a glove on me and are super flattering. These are well worth the price-tag. I'm getting way to excited over a pair of jeans. *calm yourself Ellie*

High Low skirt

This skirt is stunning. It has the most incredible print on, which doesn't show up but it's beautiful. It has a beautiful tiger on the back and is gorgeous. It's quite short but does come with a little white under-skirt. It's absolutely gorgeous. You can dress it up or down, with heels or converses. Either way would look really nice. This comes from H&M and once again I received it from the same family friends who got me the Benefit set (thank you!!).

Hope you enjoyed that! Yesterday I went out for a meal with my family to celebrate my sisters amazing GCSE results. Apart from doing a spot of shopping today I haven't really done much. As you can tell I have such a busy social life, not. Anyway, I'm off to go and read Company in my bed listening to Gabrielle Aplin. Perfection.

Live for the moment + giveaway winner!

I have had no inspiration at all recently. Bloggers block. I have all sorts of posts plans but me being my OCD self, I have written them in my diary to go up on different days, not yet. But forgot to schedule one/two  for this week, so here I am improvising!
Then after spending a frustrating half an hour, it clicked, photography. Sometimes I know my pictures aren't the best, due to time limits, current weather (as I use natural lighting), all sorts. But photography is a hobby of mine. I find it incredibly relaxing and the outcomes can be really rewarding.
Sometimes I use my dads DSLR, which will one day be mine... oh it will... but other days I just use my Fujifilm finepix S2970.
I'm going to start posting more pictures of my own, and writing a little daily 'this is what has happened today', but for this picture I thought I'd just introduce it!!
Any who as for my summer holiday so far, lets just say I have no social life. It's just me and my computer. But that's another story...
Finally the giveaway winner, I did a giveaway with Punky Princess and thought I'd offically announce the winner, the winner is....Amreena Roshon! I have emailed you, so if you could get back to me within the next two days I would be very grateful! Thanks to everyone that entered, this won't be the last giveaway so don't worry if you didn't win!!
